Parks and Recreation
The City of Kemmerer Recreation Center and Department offers year round programs, activities and fitness opportunities. The Rec. Center has a racquetball court, Full-court Gym, indoor track, rockwall, circuit weights, free weights and various types of cardio equipment, plus a whirlpool, sauna and steam room.

As an added treat to the area, the Fossil Butte National Monument is holding an open house on the 9th of July from 10 am to 2 pm. Check out their website http://www.nps.gov/fobu/index.htm for additional information.
The Kemmerer City Council is seeking individuals to serve on the Kemmerer Main Street Committee to assist them in revitalization of the downtown area. In December of 2009 the City of Kemmerer was selected as an "Aspiring Community" by the Wyoming Main Street program. This committee will focus on the development and implementation four areas that make the Main Street program successful. Those areas are: Design, Organization, Economic Restructuring and Promotion.
The success of the program is dependent upon the citizens of the community participating in the revitalization of the down town. You can participate by filling out the application and submitting it to the Kemmerer City Hall.
