The Kemmerer City Council met in regular session this 12th day of July, 2010, at 7:10 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Kemmerer, Wyoming. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Present on roll call were Mayor Michael Nelson, Councilwoman Pauline Sawyer, Councilman Brian Burg, Councilman David Lundgren, Councilman Anthony Tomassi and Councilman Zem Hopkins.
Motion was made by Councilwoman Sawyer to approve the agenda for July 12, 2010 as presented; seconded by Councilman Tomassi and unanimously approved by Council.
VISITORS’ COMMENTS AND PETITIONS:
(1) Scott and Mary Service were awarded the Community Pride Award.
(2) Representatives of Questar addressed Council regarding the gas line projects being done in the community.
(3) Candidate for county commissioner, Robert Peternal, introduced himself to Council.
CONSENT AGENDA:
Motion was made by Councilman Lundgren to approve the items on the consent agenda as presented; seconded by Councilman Burg and unanimously approved by Council. Those items were:

OLD BUSINESS:
(1) Motion was made by Councilman Tomassi to award the bid for the purchase of a new sanitation truck to Ameri-Tech Equipment Co. in the amount of $225,161.00; seconded by Councilman Hopkins. The Mayor then called for the question. Those voting "Yea" - Mayor Nelson, Councilwoman Sawyer, Councilman Lundgren, Councilman Tomassi and Councilman Hopkins. Those voting "Nay" - Councilman Burg. Motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS:
(1) Motion was made by Councilman Tomassi to appoint to the Kemmerer Main Street Redevelopment Committee Terrel Davis and Zach Zavoral for completion of one year terms, Adam Lasik for a completion of a two year term, Jessica Bond for completion of a three year term; seconded by Councilman Lundgren and unanimously approved by Council.
(2) Motion was made by Councilman Hopkins to authorize the Mayor to sign the contract with The Rocky Mountain Express for the performance scheduled for January 29, 2011 for the cultural arts series; seconded by Councilman Burg and unanimously approved by Council.
(3) Motion was made by Councilwoman Sawyer to authorize the Mayor to sign the WESTAF TourWest Grant agreement in the amount of $2,500; seconded by Councilman Tomassi and unanimously approved by Council.
(4) Motion was made by Councilwoman Sawyer to authorize the Mayor to sign the agreement with Layne Gneiting for the performance scheduled on October 18, 2010 through October 22, 2010 for the cultural arts series; seconded by Councilman Hopkins and unanimously approved by Council.
COMMENTS:
(1) City Administrator Michael Archibald addressed Council.
(2) Council comments were heard.
(3) Mayor Nelson addressed council.
There being no further business before Council, motion was made by Councilman Burg the meeting be adjourned; seconded by Councilman Hopkins and unanimously approved by Council, 8:21 p.m.
