The City of Kemmerer has a strong mayor/city council form of government. The Mayor is elected at-large as are the remaining 6 council members. The Mayor and members of city council serve four-year terms and meet twice a month to conduct City business. They hire a City Administrator to run the day-to-day operations of the City. Five City departments provide public services including (1) Law Enforcement, (2) Public Works, (3) Administrative Services, (4) Community Development, and (5) Recreation & Events.
